Effective August 19, 2019, CyRide will be transitioning its real-time predictive service (Nextbus) to a new system called MyRide. (This includes Iowa State's MyState application.) Please continue to refer to NextBus for real-time bus information through end of day August 18th but be aware that the Nextbus system will not function thereafter due to expiring agreements. Passengers may want to utilize the published or printed school year schedule to determine bus arrival times during the this transition of technology. Passengers can also call CyRide directly at 515-292-1100 for schedule information.
Start using NEXT BUS, CyRide's bus prediction service, today! With NEXT BUS, you can use your touchtone telephone, mobile device, or web enabled computer to see exactly where the bus is at, at anytime and its predicted time of arrival at your bus stop location. You can also view real-time maps.
All bus stop signs have the bus stop number at the bottom of CyRide's bus stop signs with the QR code next to its own unique bus stop number. The bus stop numbers comply with the following rules: 1) Bus stops on the north/west side of the road will be odd numbered; 2) Bus stops on the south/east side will be even numbered; 3)The first number of the stop will represent a zone in town; 4) Stops across the street from one another will typically have adjacent numbers.
CyRide's bus stops can be viewed for all routes at www.cyride.com/busstops! To make things easier, you can keep track of your frequently used bus stops identification numbers by utilizing CyRide's NEXTbus Wallet Card. Passengers can also learn how to set up alerts (one-time, scheduled or watch) for your stops!
Passengers can continue to access Nextbus info through end of service on August 18, 2019 by:
- Texting "CyRide + bus stop#" to 41411
- Calling 515-509-2609
- Visiting Cyride.com/nextbus or
