Monday, May 5, 2008: CyRide's Open House Celebration - Please join CyRide in celebrating its newly renovated and expanded office facility at its open house on Saturday, May 17^th from 9am to noon. After 10-months of construction, an additional 10,000 square-feet, two-story, energy efficient green office building is the result. The new office building features a dispatching center, dedicated training room(s), break room with quiet room area, administrative offices, locker area and multiple meeting/conference areas. The $3 million facility was funded through federal and state grants as well as locally financed through CyRide’s budget.

Due to limited parking at CyRide, a free shuttle is available between Ames City Hall and CyRide from 8:45am to 12:30pm. Please catch the shuttle or the #2 Green Route (Ontario/California in the destination sign) on 5^th Avenue south of Ames City Hall at CyRide’s bus stop sign.

The open house is free and appropriate for all ages. A tour of the new “green” building will be provided as well as the garage area. Children can enjoy a bus ride from City Hall, spring planting in CyRide’s garden and a ride through the bus washer. Refreshments will be provided for all that attend!

March 3, 2008: New DMACC Bus Stop for #4 Gray Route - Effective Monday, March 3, 2008, CyRide is extending their Gray route past Dayton Avenue to the door of DMACC campus in Ames located on Bell Avenue. The stop was placed at the southwest corner of the building near DMACC's main entrance. To view a schedule of the #4 Gray Route, click here. In the morning, passengers leaving DMACC campus would utilize the end timepoint of 8:13am, 9:13am and 10:13am. In the afternoon, the bus will depart DMACC's door 4 minutes prior to the afternoon departure timepoint at 2:46pm, 3:46pm and 4:46pm. October 17, 2007: Construction Update - CyRide is currently undergoing construction on the administrative portion of their facility. CyRide administrative offices have been moved to office trailers inside the bus storage area for the next ten months so existing office areas can be torn down and rebuilt. Construction is expected to occur June 2007 - May 2008.

May 18, 2007: New Office Hours Effective May 27, 2007: 8am to 6pm weekdays - Due to construction at CyRide's administrative facility, its offices will be open to the public for limited hours and days until the construction is complete at the end of April 2008. Visitors to the office will need to enter the building to the west of the construction fencing. Signs have been installed to assist in identifying this entrance. Once inside the building, visitors will be greeted at the desk from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. If you need office assistance outside these hours, please call CyRide at 292-1100 and arrangements will be made to meet at a mutually convenient time. CyRide will continue to accommodate all requests; however, it is recommended that the purchase of bus passes occur at one of the offsite sales locations as periodic construction interruptions may occur.
