Monday, August 14, 2017 is the first day of CyRide's School Year service. Please make sure you utilize the new school year route map, timetables and riding information brochure dated August 14, 2017 - May 4, 2018. If you have our summer schedules bookmarked in your computer, please change them to the school year. Please note that this service change from summer to school year is a week prior to Iowa State University beginning classes.
The Bessey Hall bus stop is planning to reopen mid-August 2017. Until this occurs, CyRide will continue to utilize the MacKay (west of Bessey) and Agronomy Hall (east of Bessey) bus stops on Osborn Drive. MacKay will serve as a timepoint but any transfers typically occurring at Bessey will transpire at the Library across from Gilman. Once Bessey reopens, CyRide will close both MacKay and Agronomy Hall bus stops as they were closed prior to the Bessey Hall construction project. The school year maps and printed brochure schedule have been updated reflecting these changes.
Please note that the #9 Plum, #21 Cardinal and #22 Gold routes will not operate until Monday, August 21st, as these routes only operate on ISU class days. However all other SHADED TRIPS (typically not in operation when ISU is not in session) WILL OPERATE beginning Monday, August 14th to allow for more transit service to our passengers returning in preparation for fall ISU classes that begins on 8/21/2017. The #6A Brown Towers will begin service on Monday, August 14th as indicated on the online schedule. The #23 Orange route will be operating 10-minute service between 7:25am and 6:00pm between August 14th - 18th. Beginning August 21st, the Orange Route will operate even more frequent. Finally, Moonlight Express will be operating on Friday, August 18th and Saturday, August 19th.
