CyRide closed the Bessey Hall bus stop on February 24, 2016 when
construction began on an expansion of Bessey Hall by Iowa State
University. Construction is expected to conclude mid-August 2017
according to ISU's Construction website.
Beginning Monday, March 28, 2016, CyRide will open another temporary bus stop in front of Agronomy Hall on Osborn Drive to allow travel to the east side of ISU campus. Therefore, starting 3/28/2016 passengers will be able to board/alight at both MacKay Hall (west of Bessey) and Agronomy Hall (east of Bessey) bus stops. MacKay Hall will serve as the timepoint through mid-August 2017 until the construction is completed. However, after the Bessey Hall bus stop opens in mid-August 2017, any temporary bus stops will once again be closed to help reduce congestion and improve safety on Osborn Drive per ISU campus initiatives implemented in summer 2015.
